THE JOB

As a Lawyer, you will play a crucial role in providing legal services to clients.

We are seeking a candidate with 2 to 3 years of civil litigation experience in employment law. In addition to litigation, your responsibilities will include conducting research, drafting legal documents, negotiating on behalf of clients, and representing them at all stages of litigation. To excel in this role, you should have strong research and analytical skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to negotiate effectively.

Additionally, attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently, with appropriate mentorship, are essential for success in this position.

Duties

- Litigation of a variety of employment law matters
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and pleadings
- Represent clients in proceedings including mediations, examinations, pre-trial, and trials
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy and compliance
- Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to develop legal strategies





EXPERIENCE The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in employment law and/or litigation.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Law degree from an accredited institution
- Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
- Experience in employment law and/or and litigation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

COMPENSATION We offer a range of incentive compensation with salary to be commensurate with experience in field.
