Hiring: Environmental Construction Project Manager

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Hybrid

Duration: Contract to Permanent. Projected start date: October 12, 2026

Hourly Rate: $65,000/year - $100,000/year (based on experience)

Overview:

Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of construction and environmental projects. In this role, you will oversee all phases of project execution, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, implementation, and project closeout. Working closely with internal teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage projects from initiation through completion.
- Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
- Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to support successful project execution.
- Track project performance and proactively identify, mitigate, and resolve risks, issues, or delays.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, corporate policies, and client requirements.
- Manage project documentation, contracts, reporting, and project records.
- Facilitate project meetings and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Oversee procurement activities and resource planning to meet project objectives.
- Review and approve project expenditures, invoices, change orders, and cost reports.




- Ensure quality standards and project deliverables are achieved throughout all project phases.
- Foster and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
- Support the organization with additional project-related responsibilities as required.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

- Minimum 5 years of project management experience within construction, environmental services, infrastructure, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, best practices, and tools.
- Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, timelines, resources, and multiple concurrent projects.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Project.
- Experience with project management software is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project and client sites as required.

Working Environment

- Combination of office-based and field-based work.
- Fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with competing priorities.
- Regular travel and site visits may be required.
- Frequent interaction with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Flexibility to travel as needed to support project delivery and operational requirements.
