The Opportunity

CMHA Swan Valley Branch, serving the Parkland and The Pas regions, is seeking an experienced professional to join its team as the Enhanced Community Mobilization Coordinator.

Position Purpose The coordinator leads the Swan Valley Community Mobilization Project, bringing community organizations together to strengthen safety and well-being. Through a coordinated, multi-sector approach, the project connects clients with comprehensive, wraparound supports.

Key Focus

· Support and coordinate collaborative efforts across participating organizations.

· Maintain and strengthen the established multi-sector table of identified partners

· Promote a shared, coordinated approach to client support and community well-being.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Some evening and weekend work may be required based on meeting schedules and client caseloads.

Duties

- Chair HUB meetings and coordinate training.
- Assess referrals and facilitate coordinated support planning.
- Build and maintain partnerships that strengthen multi-sector collaboration.
- Provide person-centered, trauma-informed support tailored to client strengths, needs, and goals.
- Develop intentional, long-term relationships that respect client autonomy, lived experience, dignity, and choice.
- Apply harm-reduction, Housing First, and culturally responsive approaches, as appropriate.
- Manage project data, research, reporting, and contractual requirements for CMHA and Manitoba Justice.
- Support community engagement, shared ownership, and effective problem-solving.

Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in human services; a Bachelor of Social Work or justice-related degree is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience mobilizing organizations and implementing programs or strategic plans.
- Strong communication, public speaking, planning, and community engagement skills.
- Strong research, analytical, judgment, and problem-solving skills.




- Experience building effective partnerships with human service organizations.
- Ability to work respectfully and compassionately with at-risk individuals, including people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed case management and stepped-care service delivery.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Explicit Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check.
