Roald Smith Construction is looking for an experienced Finish Carpenter to join our team. We are seeking someone who takes pride in high-quality work, can work confidently and independently, and brings a solutions-based approach to the job site.

Our work includes custom homes, renovations and additions, with a strong focus on craftsmanship, attention to detail and a professional, clean job site.

Responsibilities

- Interior finish carpentry, including trim, baseboard, casing, doors and other detailed finishing work
- Millwork and custom carpentry installation
- Read and work from drawings, plans and specifications
- Identify issues and work through practical solutions on site
- Plan and execute work efficiently with minimal supervision
- Maintain a high standard of quality and attention to detail
- Take accountability for your work,



including identifying and correcting deficiencies
- Work collaboratively with project leads, other carpenters and trades
- Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area
- Properly care for and manage tools and materials

Requirements

- Minimum 5+ years of relevant carpentry experience, with strong finish carpentry skills
- Own professional carpentry tools
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable truck/vehicle suitable for transporting tools
- Strong understanding of residential construction and finishing practices
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned work effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Dependable, accountable and able to communicate clearly
- Team-oriented and willing to contribute wherever needed
- Solutions-based approach — able to identify a problem, think it through and help move the work forward
- Comfortable taking ownership of mistakes and making them right
- Commitment to job-site safety, cleanliness and professionalism

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 44.0 per week
