Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position of Facilities Supervisor to join our team full-time in Vermilion, AB. Reporting to the Facilities Manager. This position will provide support and will require travel to all Cornerstone Co-op locations (St. Paul, Elk Point, Vermilion, Wainwright, Mannville, Dewberry, Provost & Two Hills).

What you’ll do:

- Support the Facilities Manager with the day-to-day maintenance and operation of Cornerstone Co-op facilities, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical and general building systems.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and improvement projects, including developing action plans to address identified issues.
- Coordinate external contractors and vendors, including obtaining quotes, sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, monitoring work quality, and managing third-party compliance requirements such as elevators and fire systems.
- Assist with facilities planning and budgeting by monitoring expenses, supporting the annual work plan, and identifying required repairs, replacements, and improvements.
- Process and code work orders and invoices using the Limble CMMS system, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Coordinate vehicle repairs, inspections, and seasonal preparations, as well as seasonal facility maintenance such as snow removal and lawn care.
- Respond to after-hours maintenance needs.
- Support event setup and takedown at all Cornerstone locations.
- Promote and follow Cornerstone Co-op’s safety procedures, and emergency protocols while ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Demonstrate behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative’s purpose statement, values,



brand and focus on safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

- You have 3-5 years of hands-on general maintenance experience in a commercial, retail, or industrial environment, with knowledge of electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, heating, and building systems.
- A related trade certificate or experience is considered an asset.
- You have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and can provide a satisfactory 5-year standard driver’s abstract.
- You are able to successfully complete a pre-employment substance test.
- You are able to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 100 lbs.
- You have solid computer skills and experience using a CMMS (computerized Maintenance Management System) would be considered an asset.
- You understand workplace safety, emergency procedures, and the importance of maintaining a food-safe environment.
- You build positive relationships with contractors, vendors, team members and internal partners and you value collaboration and different perspectives.
- You are a strong troubleshooter who can work independently, identify maintenance issues, and determine practical solutions.
