Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Laborer to join our team. This role involves supporting various operational tasks across our facilities, with an emphasis on physical labor and equipment handling. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to perform heavy lifting, and familiarity with farm machinery or mechanical systems. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to ongoing projects and gain valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

The feedlot is located 5 minutes south of Nobleford, and 15 minutes west of Lethbridge.

Duties

- Assist with processing, shipping and receiving cattle.
- Operate farm machinery and basic mechanical tools as needed for project support
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently to support production or maintenance activities
- Support maintenance tasks, including cleaning, yard maintenance and minor repairs of equipment.
- Follow protocol to treat livestock.
- Pencheck cattle on foot
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment at all times




- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks in a timely manner

Skills

- Mechanical knowledge is preferred to understand equipment operation and troubleshooting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely, often lifting up to 50 pounds or more
- Experience working with farm machinery or similar heavy-duty equipment is a plus
- Robust physical stamina and endurance for extended periods of manual labor
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various tasks as needed
