Overview

K2 Electric Ltd. is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Field Administrator to support our project operations throughout the Lower Mainland in British Columbia.

K2 delivers integrated electrical and civil construction services for BC Hydro and other utility, industrial, and infrastructure clients. The Field Administrator provides essential onsite support to Project Managers, Site Supervisors, the Health & Safety Manager, and K2’s office administration team.

This position helps keep projects organized by coordinating field documentation, labour and equipment reporting, safety records, procurement, accommodations, and communication between the project site and corporate office.

The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

Field and Operations Support

- Provide administrative support to Project Managers, Site Supervisors, the Health & Safety Manager, and office administrators
- Assist with project setup, mobilization, demobilization, and site-office organization
- Coordinate the flow of information between field personnel, project management, safety, payroll, accounting, and administration
- Assist with travel arrangements, accommodations, site access, and site orientations
- Maintain current contact lists, schedules, notices, and project information onsite

Safety Administration

- Support the Site Supervisor and Health & Safety Manager with onsite safety administration and document control
- Collect, review for completeness, organize, and file daily safety documentation
- Ensure current safety forms, procedures, emergency information,



and required postings are available onsite
- Support compliance with K2 policies, client requirements, and site-specific safety plans

Payroll, Billing and Reporting

- Prepare and submit daily labour, equipment, and production reports for payroll and billing when required
- Collect and verify timesheets, equipment hours, daily reports, and supporting documentation
- Track job-related purchases, expenses, packing slips, and receipts for billing and cost-control purposes
- Maintain accurate project spreadsheets, logs, reports, and records as required
- Identify missing or inconsistent information and follow up with the appropriate personnel

Procurement and Project Documentation

- Coordinate onsite deliveries and maintain supporting purchase and receiving documentation
- Organize purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, receipts, material records, and equipment documentation
- Ensure current project documents are accessible to authorized field personnel
- Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy project files
- Prepare correspondence, reports, meeting minutes, and other project documents as required

Client, Vendor and Subcontractor Support

- Respond to routine client, vendor, and subcontractor inquiries promptly and professionally
- Direct technical, contractual, safety,



or financial questions to the appropriate K2 representative
- Maintain positive working relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams

Experience and Qualifications

- Previous administrative, project coordination, or field-office support experience
- Experience in civil, electrical, utility, or industrial construction is considered an asset
- Experience supporting BC Hydro projects or working on BC Hydro sites is a strong asset
- Familiarity with construction safety documentation and reporting is preferred
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet time-sensitive deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with data entry, document control, filing, proofreading, and record management
- Ability to work independently while supporting a broader project team
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel and work at project sites throughout British Columbia as required

Working Conditions

- This is a field-based administrative position and may require work at active construction, utility, industrial, or remote project sites
- Work schedules may vary based on project requirements and could include extended hours, weekends, holidays, or rotational schedules
- Travel and temporary relocation may be required based on project demands

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 70.0 per week
