TOS America Inc. / Fermat sells, services, and remanufactures horizontal boring mills and Czechoslovak machine tools (TOS, Skoda, Fermat) across Canada. We are hiring a Field Service Technician to install, repair, and commission these machines at customer plants, support our parts business, and keep our machines for sale in top condition.

What you will do

- Install and commission horizontal boring mills, milling machines, lathes, grinders and other machine tool at customer sites
- Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, alignment and geometry checks (laser, level, dial indicator, ballbar)
- Replace and adjust spindles, bearings, ballscrews, encoders, drives
- Support parts sales: identify parts from drawings and machine plates, confirm dimensions, install replacement parts on site
- Prepare machines for sale: run-off, clean-up, function checks, geometry reports, photos and videos
- Support CNC controls: mainly Heidenhain, Siemens, Fanuc
- Complete service reports, photos, and parts lists after each job
- Travel to customer sites in Ontario, Quebec,



Western Canada, occasionally the USA

What you need
- Millwright, industrial electrician or machine tool technician background
- Experience with machine tool assembly, retrofits, or heavy equipment service
- Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical drawings
- Valid driver's licence and passport, able to travel
- Czech or Slovak language an asset, not required
- Passion for machine tools and precision work
