The Finance Administrator keeps that information clean, current and reliable all year round.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Administrator provides day-to-day administrative support to the Finance team, with a focus on the maintenance and integrity of trip-related financial records. The role touches invoicing, expense and cash-advance reconciliation, supplier payments and data entry, and suits someone who takes genuine satisfaction in getting the details right.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter invoices for trip-related and overhead costs
- Verify the accuracy of trip financials in CRM.
- Review, reconcile and verify guide expense reports
- Reconcile cash advances with guides
- Track pending guide expense reports and report on their status
- Keep vendor payment information accurate and up to date
- Process supplier payments per the established schedule
- Prepare and reconcile the payment register
- Enter financial transactions into the accounting system
- Make bank deposits
- Provide ad hoc support to the Finance team as needed
Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Administrative experience in an office environment
- Proven accuracy in data entry
- Experience with modern financial systems.
- A completed or in-progress business degree or diploma is preferred
- Bookkeeping, hotel or tourism experience is an asset, though not required
