Responsibilities:

- Maintain the long-range Fleet Renewal Plan and support annual replacement planning with Ownership.
- Review age, mileage/hours, utilization, condition, repair history, downtime, and operational need to support replacement, reassignment, or disposal decisions.
- Source and procure vehicles, commercial trucks, construction equipment, trailers, and related assets. Obtain quotes, compare options, negotiate pricing, and prepare recommendations for approval.
- Coordinate onboarding and de-fleeting, including unit numbering, documentation, insurance, registration, Fleetio, Motive, GPS/asset trackers, upfitting, decals, and record retention.
- Administer Fleetio and Motive, including asset records, driver assignments, trackers, dash cameras, maintenance schedules, utilization, and supporting documents.
- Work with the Shop Foreman on CVIP scheduling, maintenance information, unit readiness, and asset condition while maintaining compliance records.
- Manage fleet insurance administration with the broker, including renewals, additions, GVW, registrations, plates, cancellations, and claims administration after incident reporting.
- Coordinate retired asset sales and ensure sale proceeds, insurance cancellation, system archiving, and records are completed.




- Maintain fuel tracking and reporting and support yard fuel and fuel-control initiatives.
- Manage designated supply categories including power tools, small equipment, PPE, field consumables, vehicle accessories, fluids, lubricants, and warehouse stock.
- Source suppliers, negotiate pricing, maintain vendor relationships, approve invoices within area of responsibility, and coordinate new supplier accounts with Accounting.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of progressive experience in fleet management, equipment management, procurement, construction operations, or a related field.
- Valid BC Class 5 driver's licence and ability to travel between company locations as required.
- Strong knowledge of asset lifecycle management, replacement planning, utilization, operating cost, and procurement.
- Experience with fleet telematics and fleet management systems. Motive and Fleetio experience is an asset.
- Working knowledge of BC commercial vehicle requirements, CVIP, fleet insurance, registration, and GVW administration.
- Solid Excel, data management, documentation, vendor-management, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively with Ownership, Operations, Shop, Accounting, and vendors.
