We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Food Counter Attendant to join our dynamic food service team. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with menu selections to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring quick and efficient service
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and food contact surfaces in compliance with food safety regulations
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience or restaurant background preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar cash register technology
- Strong understanding of food handling procedures and sanitation standards in the food industry
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly for cash handling and order processing
- Effective time management skills to handle high-volume periods efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper kitchen hygiene procedures
- Experience in food preparation, serving, or cashiering within a restaurant or similar environment is advantageous
- Willingness to learn new skills such as upselling techniques and advanced POS operations
