Duties

- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines and menu specifications, ensuring quality and presentation.
- Assist with food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to uphold food safety standards.
- Set up dining areas, serve residents or customers with a friendly attitude, and assist with meal distribution.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining spaces by cleaning utensils, equipment, counters, and floors regularly.
- Follow proper food safety protocols, including proper food storage, temperature control, and sanitation practices.
- Support meal planning and preparation activities in collaboration with kitchen staff or supervisors.




- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy meal periods while maintaining attention to detail.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food handling safety is essential.
- Robust customer service skills with the ability to communicate warmly and effectively with residents or customers.
- Experience in food service or kitchen environments demonstrating good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines related to sanitation, cleaning procedures, and food safety regulations.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift supplies or trays, and perform cleaning tasks as needed.
- Prior experience with meal preparation, serving techniques, and maintaining a clean workspace is advantageous.
