Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking an energetic, results-driven, and dedicated Food Service Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our café and play a key role in driving sales growth. The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience, maintaining strong operational standards, developing the team, and actively identifying opportunities to increase sales.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can build strong relationships with hospital departments, staff, visitors, and the surrounding community to increase awareness and utilization of the café. The successful candidate will also ensure the location consistently operates in accordance with Good Earth Coffeehouse brand standards, food safety requirements, and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive Café Sales & Business Growth
- Take ownership of daily and weekly sales performance and work proactively to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Build strong relationships with hospital departments, staff, physicians, visitors, and other key stakeholders to generate additional business and increase café traffic.
- Regularly reach out to departments to promote the café, catering services, promotions, seasonal offerings, and other sales opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for department meetings, catering, coffee service, staff events, promotions, and other revenue-generating activities.
- Develop and execute local sales-building initiatives in partnership with management and the marketing team.
- Monitor sales trends and identify opportunities to improve transaction counts, average check, product mix, and overall café performance.
- Encourage the team to actively engage with guests and promote products, add-ons, and current promotions.

Operational & Brand Standards
- Ensure the café operates consistently in accordance with Good Earth Coffeehouse brand standards, operating procedures, recipes, and service expectations.
- Conduct regular checks of the café,



front counter, beverage station, food preparation areas, storage areas, and customer seating areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and operational standards are maintained.
- Ensure all products are prepared and presented according to established Good Earth recipes and quality standards.
- Monitor service speed, product availability, café appearance, and overall guest experience.
- Identify operational gaps and take immediate corrective action to ensure standards are consistently maintained.
- Support and participate in operational audits, inspections, and follow-up action plans.
- Ensure opening, closing, cash handling, cleaning, and daily operational procedures are completed accurately.

Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop café team members to deliver excellent customer service and achieve sales goals.
- Train employees on food preparation, beverage standards, customer service, food safety, POS procedures, and Good Earth brand standards.
- Conduct regular team communication and provide clear expectations around sales, service, cleanliness, and operational performance.
- Assist with interviews, hiring, onboarding, and scheduling to maintain an effective and reliable team.
- Recognize strong performance and address performance or operational issues promptly and professionally.

Food Safety & Quality
- Oversee food preparation and beverage service while ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene requirements.
- Ensure proper food storage, temperature control, labeling, rotation, and handling procedures are followed.




- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized café environment.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and workplace regulations.

Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure appropriate ordering and product availability.
- Minimize waste through proper portion control, product rotation, storage, and preparation procedures.
- Identify opportunities to control food and operating costs while maintaining product quality and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure deliveries are received, checked, stored, and recorded appropriately.

Customer Experience
- Create a welcoming, friendly, and professional atmosphere for every guest.
- Respond to customer feedback and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
- Build positive relationships with regular customers and key stakeholders.
- Lead by example and ensure the team consistently delivers the level of hospitality expected from the Good Earth Coffeehouse brand.

Performance Expectations The Food Service Supervisor will be accountable for:
- Achieving established weekly and monthly sales targets
- Increasing café traffic and sales through department outreach and local business development
- Growing catering, group orders, and other revenue opportunities
- Maintaining Good Earth Coffeehouse brand and operating standards
- Maintaining strong food safety, cleanliness, and quality standards
- Developing and retaining a high-performing team
- Delivering an exceptional guest experience
- Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve the overall profitability and performance of the café

This is an ideal prospect for a hands-on hospitality leader who is passionate about sales, customer service, team development, and operational excellence and wants to take ownership of the success of a café within a busy food service environment. Pay: $17.90-$18.00 per hour
