SVEMY Construction Ltd. is a Calgary-based construction company specializing in federal, special-purpose, commercial, light industrial, restoration, and other construction projects. We are seeking an experienced Carpentry Foreman/Woman to join our team and work on projects in Calgary and at various project locations.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare production and other reports
- Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and quality
- Supervise workers and construction projects
- Coordinate and schedule activities
- Oversee apprenticeship training
- Train or arrange for training
- Set up equipment
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
- Coordinate with project management, subcontractors and other trades
- Perform hands-on carpentry and construction work as required

Qualifications:

- Secondary (high)



school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
- 2 years to less than 3 years of relevant experience
- Previous experience supervising workers and construction activities
- Strong practical knowledge of carpentry and general construction
- Good organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
- Accurate, reliable, flexible and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Willing and able to work at various project locations

Work Setting: Construction, commercial, industrial and historical restoration projects. Work is performed on site at various locations.

Pay: $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 44.0 per week
