JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the iGaming Studio Manager, the Game Artist II - iGaming is responsible for adapting and bringing high-quality casino game visuals to life for iGaming, ensuring the seamless translation of land-based content into optimized digital experiences.
Working as part of a growing art team, this role collaborates closely with fellow artists, developers, and designers to create engaging player experiences across mobile and web platforms.
This position requires creativity, technical curiosity, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset, as well as an interest in improving efficiency through modern tools and approaches, including AI-assisted workflows. The Game Artist II contributes to the creation, optimization, and animation of game assets while helping improve established production workflows and supporting the successful delivery of iGaming titles.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Prepare production-ready assets in Photoshop, including symbols, backgrounds, UI elements, and promotional visuals
- Create simple, polished 2D animations using Spine to bring symbols, UI elements, and game assets to life
- Prepare animation assets and maintain organized Spine projects that integrate efficiently into the game engine
- Adapt and optimize land-based game art for iGaming platforms, ensuring visual fidelity while meeting strict performance and technical constraints (mobile, web, varying device specs)
- Optimize assets for real-time rendering, including texture size and compression, file size and memory usage reduction
- Prepare and export assets according to technical specifications,
ensuring compatibility with the game engine and web delivery requirements
- Collaborate with developers and technical stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of assets into the game
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of art production workflows and pipelines by identifying opportunities for greater efficiency and quality
- Leverage modern tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to accelerate production while maintaining high-quality standards
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and support projects from concept through delivery
- Collaborate closely with other artists, developers, and studio leadership to meet production goals
- Other responsibilities as assigned by manager
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- College diploma (DEC) or Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts or equivalent, or relevant experience in lieu
- Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, including advanced compositing, color correction and balancing, asset preparation for production pipelines
- Experience in asset optimization, especially mobile/web environments
- Experience creating 2D animations using Spine or a comparable skeletal animation tool
- Understanding of animation principles such as timing, anticipation, squash and stretch, and secondary motion
- Ability to prepare animation assets for integration into a game engine
- Experience adapting or preparing artwork for different platforms, resolutions, or technical requirements
- Ability to work across a variety of art styles while maintaining brand and game consistency
- Strong ability to take artwork from concept or source material to polished, production-ready assets
- Familiarity with structured production workflows and asset pipelines
- Openness to adopting AI tools (e.g., generative, upscaling, automation tools) as part of the art workflow
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in asset quality, consistency, and technical accuracy
- Effective communication skills in French and English (verbal and written)
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally with art, tech, and production teams
- Appreciation and understanding of game design and player experience

- In the course of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands and fingers to touch and handle objects, tools or controls.

- Depending on the position, may have to travel locally, nationally or internationally.
