The Timiskaming Funeral Cooperative is seeking a Licensed Funeral Director (Class 1 or Class 2) to join our Kirkland Lake team. As a cooperative, we value collaboration, community involvement, and a supportive working environment. This role is ideal for someone who demonstrates a cooperative spirit and is interested in contributing to both the care of families and the day-to-day operations of the funeral home.

Key Qualifications and Demonstrated Abilities ● Currently enrolled or seeking enrollment in a post-secondary funeral service education.
● Passion for customer care demonstrated in previous professional experiences.
● Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
● Excellent attention to detail and consistently high level of accuracy.
● Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
● Demonstrated strong customer service skills with the ability to partner will all levels of the organization.
● Exemplifies the values of compassion, integrity, trust, teamwork, belonging and excellence.
● Excellent knowledge of Funeral Home procedures and business practices including Funeral Home Procedures Manuals.
● Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
● Valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract.
●Must be willing to relocate to the Timiskaming Region
Responsibilities
● Arranges, coordinates and directs funeral ceremonies.
● Meets and surpasses the needs and expectations of the families we serve.
● Supports licensed Funeral Directors in providing funeral services to client families.
● Other duties may be assigned.
● Housekeeping and other maintenance duties may be assigned as needed
Essential Physical Responsibilities
● Ability to tolerate exposure to hazardous substances subject to government requirements.
● Manual dexterity required for clerical tasks
● Ability to travel by standard methods of transportation.
● Must be capable of communicating with co-workers, management, and members of the public.
● Capable of lifting, carrying and transporting weights of up to 250 pounds.

Pay: $49,920.00-$72,800.00 per year
