Green-Port provides site decommissioning, recycling and waste disposal services to the utility industry and high voltage electrical contractors across Ontario.
We operate an Ministry of Environment transformer and equipment dismantling processing facility, for assets and metals recovery..
- To support the recovery and recycling process by safely and efficiently dismantling, separating and sorting materials generated from Electrical and Electronic Equipment.
- Other duties such as sweeping, cleaning and packaging.
- Follows all Company and Ontario Health & Safety Act rules, regulations and policies, and works safely avoiding lost time injuries. Participates in all training requirements.
- Handles medium to heavy materials intermittently.
- At least 1 year positive experience in a comparable field
- Familiarity with the safe operation of small tools, hydraulic, pneumatic and other power tools would be an asset.
- Understanding and/or experience with wastes would be an asset.
- All work at our Facility in Georgetown working both Indoors and Outdoors is a requirement.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.00 per hour
