Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking General Labourer to support our construction team. In this hands-on role, the successful candidate will assist with general labour, material handling, site cleanup, maintenance, and other tasks to keep projects organized, productive, and on schedule.

This role requires a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work well with others. We value employees who take initiative, work safely, and take pride in doing the job properly.

There is room to grow for someone interested in developing construction skills and taking on more responsibility over time. This can also be an excellent long-term role for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to remain in a general labour or construction position.

We are looking for someone dependable, hardworking, and ready to contribute wherever needed to help our team and projects succeed.

Responsibilities

· Load, unload, move, and organize materials, equipment, and tools safely and efficiently, including operating telehandlers and similar equipment

· Operate power tools, machinery, and other equipment when properly trained and authorized

· Complete general construction, maintenance, and site-related tasks as assigned by supervisors

· Work safely at all times and follow company and site-specific safety procedures and requirements

· Assist with basic carpentry and other skilled construction tasks as required or as opportunities to develop additional skills arise





· Maintain a clean and organized jobsite by assisting with regular cleanup and removal of debris

· Work cooperatively with the construction team to help keep projects on schedule and meet expected quality standards

· Assist with preparing work areas by organizing materials, tools, and supplies for the day’s activities

Requirements

· Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn and develop new skills

· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

· Ability to safely perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, standing, and working on your feet for extended periods

· Good communication skills and ability to understand and follow instructions

· Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment

· Reliable transportation to and from the worksite daily (within 45 minutes of Mount Forest, ON in all directions)

· Previous experience in construction, manufacturing, or general labour is considered an asset, but is not required

Pay: $25 + per hour (pay max based on experience and work ethic)

Who we are:

WT Land / WT Living constructs residential mid-rise apartment buildings and single-family homes throughout Grey-Bruce and Wellington County. We operate as a general contractor and self-perform many of the carpentry and other construction-related scopes of work on our projects. We are looking for someone to join our construction team and work on our job sites on a daily basis.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
