Industrial Metals (2011) is looking for a reliable, versatile, team-player to join our Downstream team.

The ideal candidate is someone who has a strong work ethic, takes initiative, is reliable, follows instructions and adheres to the company's Health & Safety rules.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

- Identifying, picking and sorting various pieces of ferrous and/or non-ferrous metal
- Routine cleaning of work area and equipment as often as required
- Recognize and report operational problems of machines
- Operate equipment (when required and if certified) while adhering to all safe work practices and procedures
- Work in accordance with all company health and safety guidelines
- Assist in other areas of the business including the warehouse, yard, or shop as the need arises
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:

- Previous experience in manufacturing or construction-like settings is considered an asset
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (working in all weather conditions, standing for long periods of time, lifting of up to 50lbs)
- Must be reliable and possess a good attendance record
- Quick and attentive learner




- Detail-oriented and consistent performer
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Good mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
- Working knowledge of safety standards
- Good English communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work professionally, respectfully with a positive attitude in a fast-paced working environment

- Robust work ethic and ability to complete work in a timely manner
- Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
