About the Position

AERIUM is seeking a GIS Technician or Technologist to join our Digital Services team. The primary focus of this role will be service oriented for our clients in Forestry, and Oil & Gas, and Environmental Industries.

Reports to: Digital Services Manager

Location: 1915 11 St SE Calgary, AB

Travel Requirement: Minimal

Position Type: Full Time, Permanent

Work From Home or In Office: Flexible

Key Accountabilities To be successful in this role, you will need a competent skill level in major GIS platforms, particularly ArcPro and AGOL, as well as familiarity with GlobalMapper, QGIS, and others. The successful candidate will have a strong aptitude for solving both data (attribute, file management, etc) and project (Land Management, Client-specific, etc.) problems in this domain, as well as a keen eye for detail.

Core Skills/Technologies:

- Desire to work collaboratively within a high pace, dynamic work environment with like-minded professionals;
- Working knowledge of standard GIS procedures;
- Working knowledge of cartographic design principles;
- Spatial and statistical analysis competency;
- Robust data management experience: data standardization,



transformation and processing, working with different database types (spatial, non-spatial, RDMBS);
- Ability to meet deadlines;
- Strong attention to detail.

Bonus Skills/Technologies: · Experience with Forestry and/or Oil & Gas Industries

· Experience with Alberta Government’s Land Management Systems

· Experience with drone operations and communication; Advanced or Basic pilot license

· Willingness to learn, grow, and support other roles in the company.
