As a Graduate Intern Architect, you will work alongside experienced architects, engineers, designers, and multidisciplinary project teams to support the planning, design, and delivery of projects across a variety of sectors. Applying the knowledge gained through your studies, you will contribute to architectural design solutions that balance functionality, sustainability, creativity, and client needs.
You will gain exposure to diverse projects spanning the built environment, infrastructure, and community development sectors, developing practical skills in design development, documentation, coordination, and project delivery within a real-world consulting environment. Through mentorship, collaboration, and hands-on experience, you will strengthen your technical and design capabilities while developing an understanding of industry’s best practices and professional standards.

This position can be based in Toronto, Mississauga or Waterloo.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Architectural Design: Strong working knowledge of Revit as a design platform, in order to contribute to the planning, design, construction, and communication, of architectural solutions.
- Architectural Drawings: Technically competent in the use of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Microsoft Office, to be able to carry out a range of activities under the guidance of more senior colleagues to create architectural drawings for the communication, evaluation, and implementation of architectural design solutions.
- Architectural Solutions: Contribute to the development of proposed architectural solutions to provide feedback and data to validate the designs.
- Ontario Building Code: Develop a working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and apply relevant requirements to architectural design and documentation under the guidance of senior colleagues.
- Building Information Modelling (BIM) Systems: Help with building/construction activities by designing layouts and maps that reflect the property scope and the parameters of buildings/constructions.
- Construction Advice: Provide professional advice relating to construction regulations and best practice with regard to the maintenance, alteration, and construction of buildings.
- Building Surveys: Undertake building and technical surveys, with support and guidance from architects and experienced surveyors, to determine the building condition and identify defects and associated risks. Includes conducting a wide range of surveys on complex sites.
- Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
- Feasibility Studies: Contribute to and support feasibility studies from a technological and organizational perspective, and document findings.
- Bid Solicitation/Request for Proposal/Tender Analysis: Analyze parts of the bid solicitation project requirements and gather and assess information related to the feasibility of these requirements for the organization.
- Client & Customer Management (External):
Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems.
What you will bring to the Team
- A recent or upcoming degree completion in in architecture, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent.
- 0-2 years of experience related to the role
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to think critically and approach challenges with curiosity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in diverse and multidisciplinary teams.
- A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to continuous professional development.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
- A genuine interest in sustainability, innovation, and creating positive outcomes for communities.
- Solid graphic presentation skills and abilities to present to clients
- Understanding of MS Office, REVIT, CAD and good organization skills
Salary: Annual Salary for Toronto and Mississauga $67.500.- | Waterloo $ 62.000.- Salary Range is based on the preferred work location. If the selected candidate´s location differs, changes to the salary range may apply.
