Livingstone Manor Retirement Residence is a 34 room retirement home located in Listowel Ontario. At this time we require a part time PSW/Guest Attendant to provide personal care and other services to residents in a safe, efficient manner, according to the policies and procedures of the retirement residence in accordance with the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority.

Responsibilities and Duties The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

- Monitor, ensure safety and assist with resident personal care needs as required.
- Provides personal laundry services for residents.
- Maintain clean, safe work environment. Follow applicable occupational health and safety standards, and infection prevention and control protocols.
- Provides medication administration to residents according to the residence’s policies and procedures for unregulated care providers administering medication.

Qualifications and Skills The ideal candidates will possess:

- Previous work experience in providing laundry, or personal care services;




- Successful completion of secondary school or equivalent;
- Not mandatory but preferred; Post secondary education in related care fields [e.g. Personal Support Worker (PSW), Health Care Aide (HCA) or Developmental Services Worker (DSW) certification] is preferred.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in english.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Demonstrated empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors.
- Ability to organize work and work under strict time constraints.
- Must have a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Willing to train the right candidate does not have prior experience
