The Position

Resound School of Music is hiring passionate and reliable Guitar Teachers to teach in-home private lessons in West Vancouver, BC. If you love working with students and want a flexible teaching schedule, this is a great opportunity to grow your teaching career.

- This position is part time but could grow to become full time
- Weekday afternoon and evening teaching (starting after 3:00 PM)
- Teaching locations throughout West Vancouver and North Vancouver.

Job Responsibilities

As a Guitar Teacher, you will:

- Travel by vehicle to students’ homes in West Vancouver and North Vancouver, BC
- Teach private guitar lessons (30–60 minutes each) to children, teens, and/or adults
- Design individualized lesson plans based on each student’s goals and interests
- Teach a variety of styles (rock, pop, blues, classical, acoustic, or electric)
- Help students develop technique, music theory understanding, and performance skills

This position is ideal for guitarists who love teaching one-on-one, building student relationships, and making lessons fun and engaging.

Qualifications





We are looking for applicants who have:

- Strong guitar proficiency (acoustic and electric)
- Experience teaching private guitar lessons to students of different skill levels
- A positive, friendly, and encouraging teaching approach
- A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for travel between lessons
- Excellent communication and people skills
- A genuine passion for teaching music and inspiring others

Compensation Our starting rate is $45.00–$55.00 per teaching hour with opportunities for further growth. While travel time is not included, we plan routes and schedules strategically to minimize driving so you can maximize your time spent teaching.

Schedule

- Weekdays after 3:00 PM
- Optional weekend availability
- Flexible schedule — you choose your preferred number of students and hours
