We are seeking a compassionate and experienced RPN Healthcare Manager to oversee healthcare services for approximately 74 residents in our independent retirement home.

The Healthcare Manager provides clinical leadership and coordination for our healthcare team, which includes UCPs, PSWs and part-time RPN support. The role ensures residents receive safe, respectful and individualized care while maintaining compliance with applicable RHRA requirements, CNO standards and company policies.

- Oversee the day-to-day delivery of resident healthcare services.
- Complete and/or oversee resident assessments, care plans and reassessments.
- Monitor changes in residents' health and coordinate appropriate follow-up.
- Oversee medication administration, documentation and medication-related incidents.
- Provide direction, support and supervision to UCPs and healthcare staff.
- Ensure staff work within their training, competency and assigned responsibilities.
- Oversee assistance with ADLs.
- Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacies, hospitals, home-care providers, families and other healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively with part-time RPN and overnight PSW staff to support continuity of resident care.
- Review and follow up on resident incidents, including falls, injuries and medication errors.




- Ensure appropriate documentation, reporting and follow-up of incidents and changes in resident condition.
- Support infection prevention and control practices.
- Maintain staff training and competency records and identify education needs.
- Participate in RHRA inspections, audits and quality improvement activities.
- Respond to resident and family healthcare concerns.
- Participate in healthcare staffing, scheduling, orientation and performance management.
- Promote resident dignity, choice, independence and quality of life.
- Current RPN registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Minimum 3 years' nursing experience, preferably with older adults.
- Previous supervisory or healthcare leadership experience.
- Experience with medication administration and resident care planning.
- Experience supervising or supporting UCPs, PSWs or other healthcare staff.
- Working knowledge of RHRA requirements and CNO professional standards.
- Strong communication, organizational and clinical judgment skills.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Ability to work independently and respond appropriately to changing resident needs.

This is a full time, 40-hour-per-week position. The Healthcare Manager works as part of a broader healthcare team that includes part-time RPN support, overnight PSWs and trained UCPs. The Healthcare Manager is responsible for providing leadership, coordination and clinical oversight while ensuring appropriate escalation and continuity of care when they are not on site.
