We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Heavy-Duty Truck Parts Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be the go-to expert for sourcing, selling, and managing heavy-duty truck parts, ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and accurate solutions. Duties
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct heavy-duty truck parts through detailed product knowledge and effective communication
- Manage inventory levels, process orders, and fulfill requests accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems and order management software
- Provide expert advice on automotive repair procedures, maintenance needs, and part compatibility to ensure customer satisfaction
- Handle cashiering responsibilities including cash handling, processing payments, and issuing receipts with professionalism and accuracy
- Uphold excellent phone etiquette when communicating with clients, vendors, or team members to foster positive relationships
- Support marketing efforts by promoting special offers or new product lines to increase sales opportunities
- Ensure the maintenance of the retail space is clean, organized, and welcoming for customers
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or background in heavy-duty truck parts sales is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, retail sales processes, and order fulfillment procedures
- Experience in automotive repair or maintenance environments enhances understanding of technical aspects
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software is advantageous for tracking parts and maintenance records
- Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and record keeping
- Competency in Microsoft Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting purposes
- Excellent math skills for handling transactions accurately and calculating parts pricing or discounts
- Previous experience in sales management or marketing within an automotive or dealership setting is beneficial
