K. Joly Contracting is looking for an experienced Equipment Mechanic to help keep our landscape construction, maintenance, and snow equipment safe, reliable, and ready for work.

This is a hands-on role working with trucks, trailers, mowers, snow equipment, small engines, compact equipment, attachments, and related tools. This position reports to the General Manager.

Responsibilities

- Inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair company equipment
- Complete preventive maintenance, including fluid changes, greasing, filters, batteries, belts, hoses, and tires
- Diagnose basic mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and small-engine issues
- Prepare equipment for seasonal operations, including snow
- Maintain accurate repair and maintenance records
- Identify parts and supplies required for repairs
- Keep the shop, tools, and equipment areas clean and organized
- Report safety concerns, major repairs, and equipment downtime promptly
- Recognize when repairs require specialized tools, outside service, or a licensed technician

Qualifications

- Previous experience repairing landscape, construction, agricultural, automotive, trailer, or small-engine equipment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Comfortable working with hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Basic knowledge of engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, batteries, belts, hoses,



and pumps
- Able to read service manuals, parts diagrams, and basic wiring diagrams
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently
- Solid communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work outdoors and in a shop environment
- A 310T licence is not required for this position
- Trade training, apprenticeship experience, or manufacturer/dealer training is an asset
- A G-Class license is a must

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
