Duties

- Deliver one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions focused on high school math topics such as algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics
- Assess students’ current understanding and tailor lessons to meet their individual needs and learning styles
- Explain complex mathematical concepts in clear, simple terms to foster understanding and retention
- Develop customized lesson plans, practice exercises, and review materials to reinforce learning objectives
- Track student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents or guardians
- Incorporate technology tools such as educational software or online resources to enhance the learning experience




- Support students with homework assignments, test preparation, and study strategies to boost confidence and performance

Requirements

- Proven experience working with children or teenagers in an educational or tutoring setting
- Strong knowledge of high school-level math subjects including algebra, geometry, calculus, and statistics
- Demonstrated ability to teach effectively using clear explanations and engaging instructional techniques
- Excellent computer skills with familiarity in educational software, virtual tutoring platforms, or online learning tools
- Prior classroom experience or training in teaching methods is preferred
- Knowledge of special education strategies is a plus for supporting diverse learning needs
- Background or coursework in computer science is advantageous for integrating technology into lessons
- Reliable transportation or access to a suitable location for tutoring sessions
