Sheshegwaning First Nation is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to provide homemaking services to elderly and disabled persons in Sheshegwaning and Zhiibaahaasing First Nations. The Homemaker will report to the Health Director.

Overview:

This person will work closely with the Health Centre Team to:

- Provide homemaking services to the elderly and disabled persons
- Co-ordinate schedules to meet the needs of the clients in a timely manner

Qualifications:

- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Compassion and understanding
- The ability to work unsupervised
- Must be able to provide a vulnerable sector criminal reference check
- G driver’s license
- Knowledge/understanding of the Anishinaabe language, customs and traditions would be an asset

Required Services:

- Washing of floors, windows and walls as needed
- Cleaning bathrooms
- Doing laundry
- Changing bed linens
- Cleaning fridges
- Cleaning Stoves
- Other related duties as requested
