Role Description The Hotel Preopening team role is a full-time, on-site position based in Toronto, ON. This role supports all front-of-house and guest-facing operations prior to and during the opening of the hotel, including coordinating reservations, assisting with front desk procedures, and preparing reception areas and guest service standards. Day-to-day tasks include responding to guest inquiries, supporting check-in and check-out processes, maintaining accurate booking information, and ensuring a welcoming lobby environment.

The role also collaborates with food & beverage teams to prepare service workflows, supports training activities,



and helps implement brand and service standards across departments. Team members work closely with management and other preopening staff to ensure a seamless transition into full hotel operations.

Qualifications

- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with guests and colleagues.
- Experience or familiarity with Reservations processes, including handling bookings, modifications, and guest information accurately.
- Ability to perform Duties such as managing front desk inquiries, coordinating check-in/check-out, and handling telephone and email communication.
- Basic understanding or experience in Food & Beverage operations, coordinating with restaurant or bar teams to support guest service.
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience in front office, guest services, or reservations is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced preopening environment.
- Comfort working in a team-focused culture, with flexibility to support different operational areas as needed.
- Availability to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
