Northland Properties Corporation is seeking an HR Business Partner to support its Construction & Design Division.

Reporting to the Vice President, Construction & Design, the HR Business Partner serves as a partner to leaders across multiple construction projects and corporate teams. This role provides both leadership and hands-on HR support in employee relations, talent management, workforce planning, HRIS administration, immigration programs, and leadership development.

What You'll Do

- Partner with leaders to develop and implement people strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Provide guidance and hold structure for employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations, employee accommodations, and conflict resolution.
- Conduct workplace investigations and support the resolution of employee concerns.
- Deliver training and coaching to employees and leaders on workplace policies, respectful workplace practices, bullying and harassment prevention, performance management, and HR fundamentals.
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, career development, and offboarding.
- Administer and support Dayforce HRIS, including employee data management, reporting, troubleshooting, and process improvements.
- Generate and analyze workforce metrics and reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Support immigration processes, including LMIA applications, work permits, employer compliance requirements, and foreign worker programs.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, human rights obligations, company policies, and collective agreements where applicable.
- Partner with Payroll, Operations, and other stakeholders to deliver effective people solutions across multiple project sites.

What You'll Bring

- 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a Business Partner or Senior HR Generalist capacity.




- Strong knowledge of Canadian employment standards, human rights legislation, workplace investigations, and employee relations best practices.
- Experience supporting construction, engineering, industrial, or project-based operations.
- Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations and providing recommendations to resolve employee relations concerns.
- Experience supporting a workforce that includes skilled trades, field employees, project teams, and salaried professionals.
- Experience supporting Canadian immigration programs, including LMIA and LMIA-exempt applications, work permits, employer compliance requirements, and foreign worker programs
- HRIS experience, including employee lifecycle management, reporting and analytics, troubleshooting, system administration, data integrity, and user support. Dayforce experience an asset.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and coaching skills.
- Ability to build credibility and influence throughout an organization.
- CPHR designation (or working toward designation) an asset.
- US experience an asset.

Salary Range: CAD $70,000 – $95,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience
