About Consult Mechanical Consult Mechanical is a Concord-based mechanical contractor serving residential, commercial, and institutional clients across the GTA. Since 2002 we’ve delivered HVAC, hydronics, sheet metal, and controls work — from custom home systems to multi-unit and property-managed buildings. Our install and service teams handle furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, air handlers, make-up air, and hydronic systems, with a solid focus on clean installs, proper commissioning, and reliable follow-through.

We’re looking for a skilled Residential HVAC Technician who takes pride in workmanship, communicates clearly with homeowners and site contacts, and can own jobs from rough-in through start-up.

What you’ll do

- Install, service, and replace residential HVAC equipment including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and air handling units
- Run and Insulate refrigerant and hydronic lines to manufacturer and industry standards
- Recover, evacuate, and charge air conditioning and heat pump systems; diagnose refrigeration circuit issues
- Run and connect refrigerant line sets, condensate, and related piping; pressure-test and leak-check systems
- Commission equipment after install — verify airflow, temperatures, controls, safeties, and system performance
- Install and troubleshoot electrical and low-voltage controls for furnaces, AC units, boilers, air handlers, pumps, and related equipment
- Perform hydronic work related to residential heating plants (boilers, circulators, zone valves, freeze protection)
- Run and install gas venting 636
- Work from drawings, equipment manuals,



and job scopes; keep materials and documentation organized
- Maintain a clean, safe job site and represent Consult Mechanical professionally with customers

Nice to have

- Experience with in-floor / radiant heating systems
- Experience with snow-melt systems (manifolds, controls, glycol loops, outdoor sensors)
- Comfort with high-efficiency boilers and outdoor equipment (pumps, freeze kits, heat exchangers)

What we’re looking for

- Hands-on experience as an HVAC technician (residential preferred; strong commercial techs welcome if comfortable in homes)
- Solid refrigeration skills: recovery, charging, evacuation, and system diagnosis
- Strong electrical / controls fundamentals (line voltage and low voltage)
- Ability to run neat line sets and complete proper insulation and commissioning
- Valid driver’s licence with clean record
- 313D or 313A certificate
- Ontario gas and ozone / refrigeration credentials as required for the work
- Clear communicator who can explain work to homeowners and flag issues early
