About the Opportunity

This Independent Contractor opportunity allows you to run your own business while building strong relationships with an established customer base.

You will be responsible for selling, delivering and merchandising our premium products to our established customers throughout Port Alberni and the surrounding rural areas.

You will receive sufficient training to provide you with the knowledge and confidence needed to work independently before taking over the business as an Independent Contractor.

The successful candidate will be required to:

· Reside in Port Alberni, BC and service the surrounding areas, including Ucluelet and Tofino.

· Provide their own delivery vehicle (truck or truck & trailer combination recommended) approved by Old Dutch Foods Ltd.

· Successfully complete an Old Dutch Foods Ltd.

What We're Looking For

· A people person with excellent communication skills.

· Focused on building strong relationships with established accounts.

· Possesses a strong work ethic and can work with minimal supervision.

· Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

· Experienced in sales, preferably with a consumer-packaged goods or retail organization.

· A holder of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

· Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities, solve problems, and meet deadlines or targets.

· Physically fit to perform the requirements of the position, including bending, twisting, kneeling, etc.

Experience

· Retail/Sales: 3 years

· Merchandising: 3 years

· Delivery driving: 1 year preferred
