Title: IT Coordinator
Reports to: Business Technology Manager
Location: 370 Green Road, Stoney Creek, ON
This posting is for an existing vacancy.
Position Summary: The IT Coordinator provides day-to-day technology support across the business, including Tier 1 helpdesk support, user access, Microsoft 365 administration, vendor coordination, asset tracking, and branch technology needs. This role also supports ERP system maintenance, reporting, and troubleshooting. The IT Coordinator works closely with the Business Technology Manager to keep technology-related requests organized, documented, and moving forward while providing responsive support to employees and branch teams.

Health & Safety:
- Demonstrates a commitment to safety by following company safety rules and regulations, including: Following the Uniform policy and wearing proper PPE at all times, identifying and reporting unsafe conditions or hazards, and maintaining a clean and neat work environment.
IT Coordination:
- Vendor Coordination - Work as point of contact for tickets / projects that require coordination between vendors.
- SysAid Management - Own SysAid Service Desk, manage unassigned tickets, assist departments with form / knowledge base, or workflow changes.
- Resolve IT tickets - Resolve tier 1 helpdesk tickets directly. Escalate tier 2 and above as required.
- Manage MS365 Accounts, Email, and Distribution Groups.
- Manage Company Cell Phone Plan.
- Review IT vendor invoices for accuracy.
- Travel between branches as required.
Digital and Physical Asset Management:
- Maintain centralized asset-tracking database for laptops, printers, and accessories.
- Asset Management - Manage lifecycle of employee hardware – wipe, redeploy, and document redeployment of departing staff equipment / Employee purchase program.
- Coordinate procurement directly to avoid vendor mark-ups and ensure cost-effective purchasing.
K8 Support and Reporting:
- ERP One Maintenance Tasks - Review Logs, User access, system statistics & status.
- ERP One Support - Act as Tier 1 helpdesk for ERP One support tickets, and escalate as necessary.
- ERP One Data Audits - Review system for bloated tables, data consistency, and usage.
Growth and Risk Mitigation:
- Documentation & Knowledge Continuity - Maintain continuity plans for all key integrations (PlanSwift, Dayforce, mobile scanners, website APIs).
- UAT for Upgrades - Participate in ERP One release evaluations; summarize impact and opportunities for improvement.
Business Objectives:
- Weekly 1 on 1 with Manager.
- Complete work as assigned by Business Technology Manager.
- IT Project work - Equipment maintenance, upgrades, etc.).
Professional Development:
- Assists in Special Projects as assigned by the Turkstra Leadership Team.
- Attend Continuing education to keep skillset current.
- Attend in Industry Networking Events to stay current on industry trends and upcoming changes.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Systems Technology, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
- Previous Tier 1 helpdesk, technical support,
or service desk experience is considered an asset.
- Comfortable troubleshooting basic hardware, software, account access, email, Microsoft 365, printer, and connectivity issues.
- Strong customer-service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with employees, vendors, and internal teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to track tickets, follow up on open items, document work completed, and manage competing priorities.
- Willingness and ability to learn ERP One system support, reporting, maintenance tasks, and related troubleshooting processes through on-the-job training.
- Ability to follow established processes, escalate issues appropriately, and maintain accurate documentation for IT support and asset management activities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with branch teams, office staff, vendors, and the Business Technology Manager.
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel between branches as required.
