About the Opportunity micro1 is partnering with a leading AI lab to engage finance professionals with experience across investment banking, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, and growth equity. In this role, you will apply real-world financial expertise to evaluate and improve AI model performance across financial reasoning, valuation, capital markets, and investment scenarios.

Responsibilities

- Evaluate AI-generated outputs related to valuation, financial modeling, markets, and investment analysis.
- Assess the accuracy, quality, and practical relevance of AI-generated financial reasoning.
- Create expert-level prompts based on real-world investment and transaction experience.
- Develop reference answers that reflect sound financial analysis and professional judgment.
- Identify factual errors, flawed calculations, weak reasoning, and unrealistic assumptions.
- Evaluate AI responses involving financial models, valuation methodologies, and investment decisions.
- Apply practical deal and market knowledge to assess the quality of model outputs.
- Provide structured domain feedback to identify areas for improvement.




- Contribute insights that directly help shape and improve AI model behavior.

Required Qualifications

- At least 1 year of professional experience at a well-known financial firm or legitimate startup.
- Experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, or growth equity.
- Robust knowledge of financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis.
- Familiarity with capital markets and real-world investment scenarios.
- Solid financial analysis skills and proficiency with Excel.
- Ability to critically evaluate financial assumptions, methodologies, and conclusions.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working directly on investment transactions, financial models, valuations, or due diligence.
- Exposure to multiple areas of investment and finance.
- Experience evaluating complex financial analyses or investment cases.
- Strong understanding of market dynamics and financial decision-making.
- Ability to translate practical financial experience into clear evaluation criteria.
- Experience creating or reviewing detailed financial models and investment analyses.
