We are looking for 2 experienced Java Developers to join our team and support a major application modernization initiative. The primary focus of this role will be upgrading applications from Spring Boot 2.7 to Spring Boot 3.5 and migrating from Java 11/17 to Java 21.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot, with a proven ability to troubleshoot application compatibility, dependency, build, and migration-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform application upgrades from Spring Boot 2.7 to 3.5.
- Migrate applications from Java 11/17 to Java 21.
- Analyze and resolve compatibility issues arising from Java and Spring Boot upgrades.
- Troubleshoot Maven builds, pom.xml configurations, dependencies, plugins, and version conflicts.
- Identify and resolve issues related to deprecated APIs, library changes, and breaking changes during migration.
- Upgrade and manage application dependencies and ensure compatibility with the target technology stack.
- Execute unit, integration, and regression testing following application upgrades.
- Investigate and resolve build failures, runtime issues, and migration-related defects.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure a smooth modernization and release process.
- Document upgrade-related issues, solutions, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong hands-on experience with Java development.
- Solid experience with Spring Boot,



preferably including Spring Boot 2.x and 3.x.
- Experience with Java version upgrades, particularly Java 11/17 to Java 21.
- Practical experience in application modernization and dependency upgrades.
- Strong knowledge of Maven, including:
- pom.xml configuration
- Dependency management
- Plugin versions
- Dependency conflicts
- Build troubleshooting
- Experience identifying and resolving compatibility and migration issues.
- Good understanding of application testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to independently analyze upgrade challenges and implement effective solutions.

Good to Have

- Experience with Python for scripting, automation, or application support.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and build automation.
- Experience working with enterprise application modernization initiatives.
- Exposure to cloud-based application environments.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for developers who are hands-on problem solvers and can take ownership of Java/Spring Boot upgrade activities. The primary requirement is strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Maven, dependency management, and application migration.

Python is a plus, but not mandatory.
