We are looking for a Jira Service Management Intake & Automation Developer to design, develop, and automate Jira Service Management workflows, intake forms, approvals, SLAs, queues, and enterprise integrations. The role will use Java/Spring Boot, Python, REST APIs, SQL, and AI/intelligent automation to build scalable and secure production solutions.

Location: Toronto, ON – Onsite

Employment: Full-time

Salary: CAD $110,000

Key Responsibilities

- Design and scale Jira Service Management portals, forms, request types, workflows, queues, SLAs, approvals, and dashboards.
- Build automation for classification, prioritization, routing, assignment, notifications, and escalations.
- Develop production-grade services and integrations using Java/Spring Boot and Python.
- Build and maintain REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, HTTP, and event-driven integrations.
- Apply AI/intelligent automation for classification, data extraction, duplicate detection, and routing.
- Integrate Jira with Confluence, Slack, Microsoft Teams, GitHub, Azure DevOps, email, and identity platforms.
- Develop monitoring, testing, security, access-control, deployment, and rollback practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues using logs, metrics,



audit records, and tracing.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, product, operations, and business teams.
- Document technical designs, workflows, integrations, security controls, and operational procedures.

Key Requirements

- 3 years of Jira/Jira Service Management administration, development, or automation experience.
- Hands-on experience with JSM forms, request types, workflows, custom fields, queues, SLAs, permissions, approvals, and dashboards.
- Professional experience with Java/Spring Boot and/or Python.
- Experience with Jira REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, HTTP, OAuth 2.0, API tokens, and service accounts.
- Experience with AI, generative AI, NLP, or intelligent automation in business workflows.
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting such as Python, JavaScript, Groovy, or PowerShell.
- Robust understanding of secure, scalable, observable, testable, and maintainable systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience in Agile, DevOps, project management, or enterprise operations environments.
