Russell Mechanical Systems Ltd. specializes in multi-family residential plumbing projects throughout the Lower Mainland. We are looking for an experienced Journeyman Site Leader / Working Foreman to lead crews, coordinate site activities, manage project schedules, and perform hands-on plumbing work.
This is a leadership role for someone who is organized, proactive, and committed to delivering quality work while keeping projects on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise plumbing crews, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Plan and coordinate daily and weekly work schedules to keep projects on track.
- Organize labor, materials, and equipment to maintain productivity.
- Perform hands-on plumbing installations as required.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure all work meets company standards, project specifications, and plumbing code requirements.
- Identify deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, site superintendents, and other trades.
- Proactively identify and resolve job site issues.
- Mentor apprentices and support the development of team members.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional job site.
Requirements
- Red Seal Journeyman Plumber Certification.
- Minimum 5 years of plumbing experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading crews or managing projects on-site.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, direct, and manage teams.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and scheduling abilities.
- Strong understanding of quality control and workmanship standards.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks while meeting project deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.

- Provide clear and consistent communication regarding project progress, milestones, and site requirements.
- Clearly articulate project plans, priorities, schedules, and expectations to crews, project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Be technologically proficient and comfortable using construction management software, digital project tracking tools, and mobile applications to manage project updates, documentation, and communication.
- Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, productivity, and workmanship.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients,
site superintendents, inspectors, suppliers, and other trades.
- Foster a team culture focused on accountability, safety, quality, and performance.
- Contribute to the long-term success and growth of Russell Mechanical by promoting company values, strengthening client relationships, and delivering exceptional project results.
- Be willing to work at project sites throughout Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley and relocate between projects as required.
Location & Travel Requirements
- Must be willing and able to work at various project sites throughout Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
- Reliable transportation and the ability to travel between job sites as required.
