Are you detail-oriented, analytical, and looking to build your accounting career with a growing organization? As a Junior Accountant at True Key Hotels & Resorts, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of our company. From processing transactions and reconciling accounts to supporting month-end activities, you'll help ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

Based at our Head Office in Downtown Calgary, this role offers an opportunity to develop your accounting skills while working alongside an experienced finance team that values accuracy, continuous improvement, and professional growth.

What You'll Be Doing

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice entry and payments.
- Prepare and post routine journal entries.




- Reconcile bank accounts and monitor cash balances.
- Manage employee expense claims and corporate credit card reconciliations.
- Assist with payroll-related entries and account reconciliations.
- Support month-end close activities, including accruals and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare internal financial reports and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with audits by preparing supporting documentation.
- Participate in system updates and process improvement initiatives.
- Support special projects and other accounting-related activities as required.

What You'll Bring

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- One to two years of accounting or bookkeeping experience.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft 365, and accounting software.
- Experience with Oracle NetSuite, ADP, or property management systems is an asset.
- Experience in hospitality, property management, or strata environments is an asset.
- Reliable transportation to our Downtown Calgary office.

Physical Requirements

This role requires the ability to:

- Sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Use standard office equipment, including computers and phones.
- Occasionally lift or move items up to 20 lbs.

Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada. This position is open to Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and individuals holding a valid Canadian work permit.
