Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Kitchen Helper role located in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada.
The Kitchen
Helper supports daily kitchen operations by assisting with basic food preparation, organizing ingredients, and maintaining clean workstations.
Responsibilities include washing and chopping produce, restocking supplies, cleaning dishes and equipment, and following hygiene and safety guidelines. The role may also involve simple cooking tasks under supervision, supporting food and beverage service, and helping the kitchen team during busy periods.
The Kitchen
Helper works closely with cooks and other staff to ensure efficient, orderly,
and secure kitchen operations.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform basic Food Preparation and Cooking tasks, following instructions and standardized recipes.
- Strong awareness of Hygiene practices and food safety standards, including proper cleaning and sanitation procedures.
- Understanding of Food & Beverage operations, including handling kitchen tools and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer Service skills to support front-of-house staff and contribute to a positive guest experience when needed.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as part of daily duties.
- Good teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow directions and adapt to changing priorities.
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an asset but not required; on-the-job training may be provided.
- Availability to work a full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
