Faculty Relations leads employer relations with the SFU Faculty Association bargaining unit and directs and administers all employment-related processes associated with the faculty career life cycle.
About the Role The Labour and Employee Relations Advisor is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the SFUFA collective agreement and related policies and procedures. The role provides information and advice on collective agreement interpretations and applications, as well as issues such as conflict resolution, performance management, the disciplinary process; and responses to grievances.
The Labour Relations
Advisor participates in assigned collective agreement negotiations with the Faculty Association and supports the collection, generation and analysis of the information required for grievances, arbitrations, and negotiations.
