Decomax is a union company looking for an experienced Landscape Construction Lead Hand / Foreman to join our team.

We are looking for a reliable, hands-on individual with strong experience in landscape construction who is capable of leading a crew while working alongside them in the field. The ideal candidate should be comfortable taking responsibility for a job site, understanding the scope of work, organizing daily tasks, and making sure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Our projects involve a variety of landscape and site construction work, including:

1: FOLLOWING SAFETY

- Interlocking stone and paver installation
- Retaining walls
- Concrete work, preparation, placement and finishing
- Steps, curbs and concrete landscape features
- Excavation and site preparation
- Rough and fine grading
- Reading grades, elevations and working with a laser level
- Granular base preparation and compaction
- Sod, planting and general landscape installation
- Operating skid steers, mini excavators and other construction equipment
- Loading, moving and placing materials




- Coordinating and directing labourers and equipment operators

The successful candidate must be able to lead by example and work hands-on with the crew. We are looking for someone who can look at a project, understand what needs to be done, establish grades and elevations, organize the crew and equipment, and keep the work moving without requiring constant supervision. Pay: $30.00-$48.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Greater Toronto Area, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Education:
- Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:
- Landscape construction: 4 years (required)

Language:
- English, Spanish, Portuguese (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- G2 or G or DZ or AZ (required)

Willingness to travel:
- 25% (preferred)
