Ticket911.ca is an established, high-volume law practice representing clients in traffic, penal, and criminal matters throughout Québec.

We are seeking a motivated lawyer with 1–3 years of experience to join our Montréal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a young lawyer who wants to develop strong litigation skills, take responsibility for their own files, appear regularly before the courts, and gain significant hands-on experience early in their career.

Unlike positions where junior lawyers may spend much of their time working behind the scenes, this role offers direct exposure to clients, prosecutors, negotiations, hearings, and trials.

The Role The successful candidate will work on a varied caseload involving Highway Safety Code, penal, and criminal matters and will have the opportunity to take responsibility for files from the initial client consultation through resolution or trial.

Responsibilities will include

- Representing clients in Highway Safety Code and traffic matters
- Handling impaired driving and related criminal matters
- Working on other criminal and penal files
- Appearing before courts throughout Québec
- Negotiating resolutions with prosecutors
- Conducting hearings and trials
- Meeting and consulting directly with clients
- Reviewing evidence and assessing potential defences
- Developing litigation and negotiation strategies
- Drafting motions, applications, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Preparing clients and witnesses for court
- Managing files and ensuring procedural and court deadlines are respected




- Providing clients with practical and strategic legal advice throughout their files

Travel may occasionally be required for court appearances outside Montréal. Ticket911.ca covers required business travel expenses. Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate enjoys advocacy, wants to be in court, and is looking for an opportunity to develop quickly as a litigator.

Candidates should have

- 1–3 years of legal experience
- Membership in good standing with the Barreau du Québec
- Professional proficiency in both French and English
- Strong oral advocacy and communication skills
- Excellent judgment and analytical abilities
- Strong negotiation skills
- The ability to manage multiple active files in a high-volume environment
- Confidence dealing directly with clients, prosecutors, and the courts
- Strong organizational skills and attention to deadlines
- A genuine interest in criminal, penal, and traffic law

Position: Full-time

Location: Montréal, Québec

Work arrangement: Hybrid

Schedule: Primarily Monday to Friday, with occasional evening availability required

Base salary: $80,000–$100,000 per year, based on experience

Additional compensation: Commission The compensation structure is designed to reward performance and provides the opportunity to earn additional income above the base salary.
