Lead Hand – Precast Concrete Production

Kemp Concrete Products is seeking an experienced Lead Hand to oversee daily precast production. This role is ideal for a skilled tradesperson ready to take the next step into a leadership position. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supervising production activities and personnel while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. The position requires mechanical aptitude and the ability to teach and lead a crew effectively.

Duties:

- Lead and supervise a small crew in daily precast concrete production
- Work alongside crew, assisting in production and filling in as needed to meet production demands
- Set up forms, oversee pours, and ensure finishing work meets quality standards
- Train and support junior employees
- Communicate clearly with the Foreman regarding production progress, issues, and improvements
- Maintain a protected, organized and productive work area

Qualifications · Experience in concrete,



concrete forming, or a related trade

- Clear communicator with the ability to lead and coach a team effectively
- Understanding of production workflows, quality control, and job sequencing
- Experience operating equipment such as forklifts and rigging systems is considered an asset
- Basic math skills with the ability to apply practical problem-solving on the job
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in workmanship

Formal leadership or supervisory experience is an asset, but not required. We’re willing to support and train the right candidate who shows leadership potential. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
