Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting products, providing knowledgeable recommendations when needed
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for cash handling, credit card transactions, and receipts
- Maintain well-organized merchandise displays and ensure shelves are stocked and replenished
- Verify legal age requirements for alcohol purchases and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
- Ensure daily/nightly duties are completed as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and clarity
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a liquor or specialty store environment, is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic math for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Experience in merchandising, product demos, or technical sales adds value to your role
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a busy retail setting while maintaining organization and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional phone etiquette
- Knowledge of alcohol regulations and legal age verification processes is advantageous
