Maintenance Mechanic with food manufacturing experience is responsible for day-to-day Preventative Maintenance tasks and operational adjustments, installation, troubleshooting, overhaul, and repairs to production and packaging equipment and general facility related items. The position is for afternoon and night.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

· Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools

· Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions

· Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts

· Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery

· Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment

· Modify, repair, install, maintain, improve and troubleshoot various types of packing & process equipment in food manufacturing

· Diagnose mechanical problems and provide quick, innovative solutions for mechanical equipment breakdowns by applying proven skills in the principles of mechanics, fitting, plumbing, basic welding, metal work, machining, troubleshooting and analytical problem solving

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records

· Perform preventative maintenance and trouble shooting





· Recommend solutions to routine and unique equipment problems

· Response to equipment problems in a timely manner

· Integrating all plant, quality, safety and security policies and guidelines into all day to day activities on the job

· Maintain high standards of cleanliness and general housekeeping

· All other duties as assigned

· 1+ years previous experience in a food manufacturing environment performing relevant PM and repair tasks to manufacturing machinery and equipment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $24.00-$32.00 per hour

Schedule

- 8 hour shift
