Bright Star Management Corporation proudly manages Blume Apartments. We are currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Maintenance Technician to join our team.

As our new maintenance technician, you will be responsible for the daily maintenance operations of the newly constructed 450 unit rental property while providing exceptional customer service to residents.

To succeed in this role, you should be highly organized, adaptable, and capable of delivering consistently high-quality service. Your will complete work orders and coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans set out by the property manager.

Key Responsibilities:

- Diagnosing and efficiently address work orders. This includes basic plumbing, heating, electrical, appliance, doors, window covering issues, etc.
- Ensure contractors arrive as per scheduled timelines and complete their work as per the conditions of contract.
- Coordinate month-end duties and responsibilities, including suite pre-inspection, and scheduling of contractors and/or self-performed work for turnover of suites utilizing Yardi Voyager.
- Complete and or coordinate the required work in turnover suites.
- Monitor and maintain the outdoor community spaces.
- General common area and building maintenance, touch-up painting in common areas as required including patching and painting walls/doors.
- Communicate with residents in a timely and professional manner.

Skills and Attributes:

- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities; able to identify and resolve issues efficiently.




- Proficient in general maintenance and repair, including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical basics.
- Skilled in painting, patching, and surface finishing to maintain building appearance.
- Hands-on handyperson experience with tools, equipment, and minor installations.
- Solid problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with residents, contractors, and management.
- Organized and detail-oriented; able to prioritize and complete tasks within deadlines.
- Commitment to safety practices and preventative maintenance standards.
- Reliable, adaptable, and responsive to emergency situations.
- Be able to lift up to 85 Lbs.

Schedule

- Monday to Friday typical
- Hours of work will need to be flexible., weekends and overtime may be required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $26.00-$38.00 per hour

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
