Manufacturing Coordinator – Heavy Fabrication

Location: St. Catharines, ON

Salary: $57,500 – $67,500 per year

About Trenergy Inc.

Trenergy Inc. is a 100% locally owned fabrication plant in St. Catharines, Ontario, specializing in the manufacturing of boilers, pressure vessels, structural steel, and other heavy fabricated products.

We are currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Coordinator to join our team in this newly created position. This role is ideal for an organized and mechanically inclined professional with a strong background in heavy manufacturing or fabrication, advanced blueprint reading skills, and a solid understanding of shop-floor operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with production personnel, supervisors, management, and other departments to help coordinate manufacturing activities and ensure projects move efficiently through the shop.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and support daily production activities to help ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Maintain, organize, and distribute contract drawings, shop drawings, and production documentation throughout the shop.
- Review and interpret complex manufacturing and fabrication drawings and blueprints to support production activities.
- Work closely with welders, fabricators, supervisors, and management to identify and resolve production issues.
- Monitor production progress and provide updates regarding job status, priorities, and potential delays.
- Assist with labour tracking, production reporting, and job-cost information.
- Prepare shipping documentation and coordinate with production and shipping personnel to support outgoing shipments.
- Help coordinate tooling, equipment, materials, and other shop resources as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date production records and documentation.




- Support production planning and workflow improvements.
- Assist with identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices.
- Work within and support applicable CWB, ASME, TSSA, safety, and quality requirements.
- Perform other manufacturing coordination and administrative duties as required.

Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in heavy manufacturing, fabrication, welding, pressure vessel, structural steel, or a similar industrial environment is required.
- Advanced blueprint reading and drawing interpretation skills are required.
- Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Manufacturing, Welding, Mechanical Technology, Industrial Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods, and shop-floor operations.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed fabrication and manufacturing drawings.
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with production employees, supervisors, and management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based production systems.




- Experience with ERP systems, production tracking, Lean Manufacturing, or 5S is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with CWB, ASME, TSSA, or other applicable manufacturing standards is an asset.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
