Join Our Team The Membership Engagement Coordinator will be a key point of connection between TIABC and its members across British Columbia. This role is focused on building relationships, supporting member engagement and ensuring members are connected to the resources, programs, opportunities and industry conversations that matter most to them.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for current and prospective members.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with members throughout British Columbia.
- Conduct regular outreach to better understand member priorities, concerns and opportunities.
- Connect members with relevant TIABC resources, programs, partners and industry contacts.
- Support member participation in consultations, roundtables, webinars and other TIABC initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen member engagement and involvement.
- Help recognize and celebrate member achievements, milestones and contributions.
- Support a positive, responsive and consistent member experience across the organization.
- Coordinate and support TIABC member events including BC Tourism Industry Conference, member meetings, webinars, roundtables, receptions and networking activities.
Ideal Candidate Will Have: The ideal candidate will bring experience in membership services, relationship management and member communications, with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records and systems.
They will be an organized, confident communicator who can work independently, use technology comfortably and apply sound judgment when dealing with members and sensitive information.
Key qualifications include experience with:
- Membership growth, engagement, retention, renewals and member services.
- Building strong professional relationships and delivering responsive member support.
- Coordinating member communications, surveys and outreach activities.
- Managing databases, contact records and customer relationship management systems.
- Updating website content and maintaining accurate online information.
- Analyzing membership information and making practical recommendations.
- Using Google Workspace, spreadsheets, virtual meeting platforms and content management systems.
- Working independently, learning new technologies and managing competing priorities and deadlines.
Details This is an independent consultant role based on a time commitment equivalent to approximately 28 hours/week.
The contract rate is $45 - $50 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
