SUMMARY

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Warehouse Team Lead coordinates daily floor activities, supports and trains warehouse employees, and helps ensure work is completed safely, accurately and on time. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring regular operation of material-handling equipment, particularly a clamp truck.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Coordinate daily workflow, assign tasks and communicate shift priorities to warehouse employees.
- Work alongside the team in receiving, product movement, staging, loading, shipping and inventory-control activities.
- Safely operate material-handling equipment, including a forklift with a clamp attachment, to move large or bulky products.
- Train and coach employees on standard operating procedures, safe work practices, product handling and scanning processes.
- Monitor productivity, quality and attendance, provide timely feedback and escalate concerns to the Operations Supervisor.
- Ensure pre-use equipment inspections are completed and report hazards, damages, incidents and equipment concerns immediately.
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems to support accurate product movement and inventory transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area, including docks,



staging lanes and equipment zones.
- Complete shift reports and provide a transparent handoff on completed work, outstanding priorities and operational risks.
- Oversee shift activities in the supervisor's absence, within assigned authority.

EXPERIENCE
- Minimum three years of warehouse or distribution experience, including regular operation of powered material-handling equipment.
- Demonstrated experience operating a forklift with a clamp attachment is required.
- Previous experience leading, training or directing warehouse employees.
- Valid or recently held forklift certification with a strong safety record.
- Experience using RF scanners and a warehouse management system.

EDUCATION
- Completion of secondary school or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain or operations is an asset.
