We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Metal Moulder to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible casting aluminum components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the production of high-quality aluminum metal products, ensuring they meet strict specifications and safety standards. Summary
Moulder Learners Produce quality aluminum castings safely through working with other team members and fellow employees from other functional areas..
Duties and responsibilities
· Operate and monitors molding machines and related equipment.
· Learn the proper methods of spraying, wiping and cleaning molds
· Learn and perform foundry duties and checks such as cleaning moulds, inspecting, quality, process checks hand cleaning and packing parts as per the control plan and process sheets.
· Learn knowledge of other molds and gains experiences on a variety of molds.
· Assist maintenance in conducting preventative maintenance on molding equipment.
· Ensure first offs are completed in a timely manner.
· Work in a safe, effective and skillful manner, promoting high quality workmanship attending to scrap bins, conveyor and shake out.
· Keep record of parts produced, scrap and mold history.
· Meet production schedules.
· Work on continuous improvement teams to improve the molding process.
· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
· Eligible to work in Canada
. Clean criminal record
. High School Diploma
· Ability to handle stress and multiple tasks well
· Knowledgeable of company policies and procedures
· Knowledge of molding equipment, troubleshooting, process monitoring and control and customer quality requirements
· Good interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
· Clean work areas and equipment
· Be familiar with the OH&S; Act & Regulations
· Demonstrated mechanical ability and ability to use hand tools
Working Conditions
· Our warehouse facility in London, Ontario
. Foundries are hot by nature, with exposure to open flame and molten metals
· Overtime may be required depending on shipping requirements
